Energy Absorbers

Sir Safety energy absorbers are EN 355 certified shock-absorbing components for fall arrest systems. Designed to limit the peak impact force on the worker to less than 6 kN by deploying up to 1.75 m of tear-stitch webbing — supplied across Australia and New Zealand by ProfTek.

Critical Use Notes

An energy absorber that has activated cannot be reused — even partial deployment retires the unit. This is non-negotiable per the EN 355 standard. Visible inspection at the start of every shift is required. ProfTek can supply replacement absorbers in bulk for sites where deployments occur regularly and arrange formal user training on inspection criteria.
