CIRCLE GLOVE MA1834

Heat Resistant Gloves

Sir Safety heat resistant gloves protect against contact, convective, and radiant heat in welding bays, foundries, and high-temperature manufacturing. EN 407 certified with split-leather, aluminised, and silicone-coated constructions — Vulcano, Silitherm, and Silex ranges supplied across Australia and New Zealand.

Technical Specifications

  • Standard: EN 407:2020 (heat and flame)
  • Test parameters: Flammability (a), contact heat (b), convective heat (c), radiant heat (d), small splashes molten metal (e), large quantities molten metal (f)
  • Constructions: Split-leather welding gauntlet, aluminised cotton, silicone-coated Kevlar, foundry mitten
  • Cuff lengths: 15 cm to 40 cm gauntlet

Application Guide

Stick (SMAW) and MIG welding use a 25–35 cm gauntlet leather glove with Kevlar stitching. TIG welding favours thinner goatskin for finger dexterity. Foundry work and molten-metal handling requires aluminised gloves rated to Level 4 on (e) and (f). High-radiant-heat environments (glass, ceramics, near-furnace work) need Silitherm or aluminised constructions. ProfTek can advise on the right rating for your process and supply trial pairs for operator feedback before bulk standing orders.
