FFP3 Respirators

Sir Safety FFP3 disposable respirators deliver the highest filtering half-mask protection — up to 50 × workplace exposure limit. EN 149:2001+A1:2009 certified for fine particulates including asbestos, silica, biohazards, and pharmaceutical actives. Supplied across Australia and New Zealand by ProfTek.

Where FFP3 Is Mandatory

Asbestos removal, silica work (concrete cutting, stonemasonry), pharmaceutical handling of cytotoxic compounds, and biohazard response all require FFP3-level protection. FFP3 is roughly equivalent to AS/NZS 1716 P3. Fit testing per AS/NZS 1715 is critical — a poor seal renders the highest filter class ineffective.
